Betty Fowler Grimsley
DANVILLE – Betty Fowler Grimsley, 84, of Cool Springs Rd. passed away Thursday at her residence.
Services will be held Saturday October 17, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Rev. Dwayne Bedingfield, Rev. Curt Montgomery, and Rev. Steve Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Grimsley was born in Danville, GA, the daughter of the late Dan and Ruby Sanders Fowler. She was the widow of the late Charles W. Grimsley, Sr. and was preceded in death by her brother Danny Fowler. She was a Graduate of Georgia Alabama Business College. Mrs. Betty was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the Neva Carden Sunday School Class, and the Adult Choir. She was retired from HQAFRES at Robins AFB after 33 years of service, and was a Volunteer at Coliseum Medical Center for 20 years.
Survivors include her children, Charles W. “Bubba” (Patti) Grimsley, Jr., Charlene (Al) Leming, Mary Jane Grimsley, Christy Grimsley, Chris (Tracy) Grimsley, and Julie (David) Musolf. Grand Children, Charlie W. (Amy) Grimsley, III, Benjamin (Lindsay) Grimsley, Drew Grimsley, Davis Grimsley, Adam Musolf and Lauren Musolf. Brandon Nobles, Austin Nobles and Jennifer Chapman. Great Grandchildren, Molly Grimsley, Charles W. Grimsley, IV, JR Grimsley, Brother, Ken (Wanda) Fowler.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 on Friday in the funeral home.
