Lois Stone Adkins
MACON – Lois Stone Adkins, 77 of Davis Rd., passed away Monday at her residence.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 2:00PM in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. David Dispain will officiate.
Mrs. Adkins was born and raised in Dry Branch, GA, the daughter of the late Wilbur and Claudia Floyd Stone. She was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Rickerson and her Great Grandson Tyler Floyd. Six Brothers and One Sister. .She attended Crandall College back in the fifties, and worked as a bookkeeper for several Macon area businesses. In the 1980’s she went back to school and worked as a beautician for many years in her own shop. She loved to fish and go to Tybee Island on the Fourth of July with her family as well as going on cruises every chance she got. She was a woman who said what she thought and meant what she said. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She attended Dry Branch Congregational Holiness Church for many years
Survivors include her Husband, Bobby Ray Adkins. Daughters, Nancy A. Hasty, Wendy A.(Wayne) Williams, and Janice A. (Bob) Logan. Brothers and Sisters, Joe Stone, Richard Stone, Jack Stone, Sara Brown, Wilma Davis, and Dale Vilona. 10 Grandchildren, 22 Great grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday in the funeral home, and may be contacted at the residence at 7319 Davis Rd., Macon, GA.
